Production Engineer - Product Engineering
Location: Bangalore (In-office)

About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Production Engineer to join our Product Engineering team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for professionals with a blend of development and support experience, particularly in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of production systems in a highly regulated environment.


Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the reliability and efficiency of production systems through proactive monitoring and automation. Work on SRE initiatives, combining software engineering and systems engineering practices. Build and maintain large-scale distributed systems with a focus on performance and fault tolerance. Collaborate with development teams to improve system design and deployment processes. Participate in Production Engineering projects, balancing development and operational responsibilities. Handle incident response, root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. Optimize system performance using tools like Kafka, SQL, and Java-based services. Maintain basic UNIX/Linux system administration and scripting tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2-6 years of experience in Production Engineering, SRE, or related roles. Strong hands-on experience with Java, Kafka, and SQL. Prior experience in financial services or other highly regulated sectors. Proven experience in building and supporting large-scale distributed systems. Familiarity with SRE principles, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management. Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and shell scripting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools. Exposure to observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack. Understanding of compliance and security requirements in regulated environments.
