Job Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimal performance of both physical and virtual servers (e.g., Windows etc.).

Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitoring system performance, availability, and capacity, and coordinating necessary upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance.

Security and Compliance: Implementing robust security protocols, including firewalls, access controls, and data protection measures, and ensuring all server activities comply with industry standards and regulations.

Backup and Disaster Recovery: Developing, testing, and maintaining data backup systems and disaster recovery (DR) plans to ensure business continuity in the event of an outage or crisis.

Project Management: Leading IT projects related to server upgrades, migrations, or new system deployments, managing time lines, budgets, and resources.

Vendor Management: Evaluating, selecting, and negotiating with third-party vendors for hardware, software, and services to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery.

Troubleshooting and Support: Acting as an escalation point for complex server and system issues (Tier 2/3 support) and ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruption.

Documentation and Inventory: Maintaining comprehensive documentation for server configurations, processes, and network topology, as well as managing hardware and software asset inventory.
