• Manage end-to-end reinsurance operations including premium and loss accounting, cession calculations, treaty (FAC, XOL, QS) settlements, reconciliations, and reinsurance reporting.
• Review and validate system cessions, topside premiums, loss adjustments, and market bordereaux to ensure accuracy and compliance with client and reinsurer requirements.
• Lead, coach, and support a reinsurance operations team, resolving queries, handling escalations, and driving timely delivery of daily, monthly, and periodic processes.
• Oversee claim notifications, collections, cash applications, month-end journal entries, and financial close activities with strong control and governance.
• Establish and improve processes, controls, and quality standards to achieve operational excellence and meet business, audit, and client expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Sound understanding of Reinsurance operation and accounting of Premium and Losses, Topside Premium, and losses Adj
• Review of cession calculations, system cessions and validations
• Review of settlements of FAC, XOL and QS Treaties
• Review of the Market reports (Bordereaux) sent to the reinsurers/brokers
• Should be able to manage a team and coach them continuously to achieve business goal
• Able to help team in resolving their queries as an when needed
• To ensure complete operations management for end-to-end processes, including Claim notice, collections, Cash applications, month end premium and loss JEs, reconciliation and reinsurance reporting
• Is required to possess deep knowledge of the all the activities, workflow, expectations of all end clients
• To ensure timely and accurate delivery of daily, monthly, and periodic processing of client requirements
• Should establish systems and processes to ensure highest quality levels of performance is achieved on a day-to day basis.
• To handle any escalation w.r.t. any operational issue.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate, with overall 10-15 years of experience
• 5 years of supervisory experience in the field of Insurance/Reinsurance accounting
• Manager -Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate, with overall 8-12 years of experience
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in the field of Insurance/Reinsurance accounting
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Desirable-Certification in P&C Insurance
• Preferable experience in Sequel Re system
• Must have an experience of setting up a new process
