Lead the instrumentation team in daily operations, maintenance, and project activities.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all instrumentation and control systems.
Ensure the calibration and certification of instruments to meet regulatory and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in field instruments, control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA), and communication networks.
Coordinate instrumentation support for new projects, including design review, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Implement instrumentation and automation upgrades to improve plant efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Monitor inventory of critical spares and consumables.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, ATEX, SIL).
Develop SOPs, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Train and mentor instrumentation engineers and technicians.
Required Skills and Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of process instrumentation, control systems (PLC, DCS), and fieldbus communication (e.g., HART, Profibus, Modbus).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Project management and execution capabilities.
Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and explosion-proof instrumentation.
Knowledge of safety interlock systems and SIL-rated instruments.
Leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
