As a Category Execution Leader, you will partner closely with key stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies for the Facilities, Logistics, and Security categories.
You are responsible for the implementation of sourcing strategies for these assigned categories to leverage the supply base, ensure continuity of supply, maximize cost savings/value realization, and support the achievement of the business strategies in a proactive manner by truly partnering with business stakeholders as well as vendors.
You will own the execution of RFIs and RFPs, documenting bid events through correspondence to suppliers; executing the selection of suppliers in collaboration with cross-functional teams, conducting supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management.
You will report directly to the Global Sourcing Execution Leader.

**Accountabilities**
**Category Execution Manager**
+ Execute the category strategy for assigned categories, collaborating with key stakeholders, team members, and leaders affected by the respective category.
+ Have in-depth knowledge of sourcing for key categories including Facilities Management, Logistics Services, and Physical/Digital Security.
+ Initiate sourcing projects following structured management methods and principles to execute complex, long-term category management and strategic sourcing initiatives.
+ Provide input to the Category Performance framework and provide metrics related to category performance and continuously track & monitor.
+ Execute clear, structured negotiations following the Global Sourcing and Procurement Category Management and Strategic Sourcing methodologies.
+ Populate the category cards detailing overall category strategies, preferred suppliers, and business unit requirements for execution; execute to ensure category health is tracking per strategy/goals/plan.
+ Support the strategies & targets set by the Category Head & Category Leader.
+ Identify areas of opportunity to reduce waste and establish reduction targets; Identify and execute implementation of continuous improvement/cost.
**Sourcing Advisory**
+ Establish strong relationships with internal business partners, building a robust understanding of strategic business direction, requirements, and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories.
+ Execute sourcing strategies to deliver against business objectives.
+ Execute the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities, including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
+ Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies; maintain procurement ethics in accordance with News Corp's global policies & methodologies.
+ Work with senior cross-functional internal customers as well as the Business Sourcing Partner to define detailed business requirements with designated business units, prioritizing business requirements and taking them through the approval process; Participate in standardized relationship management processes globally for designated business area(s).
+ Execute change management within designated business units to increase utilization of best practices in sourcing and procurement solutions.
+ Assist the Business Sourcing Partner in business unit capacity and demand planning forecasting customer business unit demand.
**Vendor Management (Evaluation, Negotiation, Selection, Qualification)**
+ Support the evaluation, negotiation, selection, and qualification of vendors.
+ Perform negotiation of contracts with selected suppliers leveraging tools/technology or supplier contract templates, including but not limited to Software as a Service, comprehensive Master Services Agreements, Master License and Service Agreements, Statement of Work, Amendments, etc., and negotiation of global preferred supplier agreements, following the legal guidelines.
+ Execute SOWs of a complex and strategic nature from creation to approval.
+ Manage escalations to the legal department appropriately, as needed.
+ Be a contracting subject matter expert (SME) providing coaching and advisory services to other sourcing managers in the team under the given category.
+ Partner with the contract management team regularly.
**People Management**
+ Mentor, develop, motivate, and coach teams to work collaboratively and effectively; ensure that employees are engaged.

**Critical Experiences | Competencies | Abilities**
+ Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred.
+ Minimum 8 years of global sourcing experience.
+ Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated track record in people management leadership experience is required.
+ Minimum 2-3 years of sourcing transformation experience (e.g., significant prior experience in all elements of sourcing and category management).
+ Certification in Procurement such as CPSM or CSCP, preferred.
+ Embraces fact-based decision making; naturally seeks to leverage and/or integrate market data, spend analytics, and cost modeling.
+ Proven written and oral communicator, with strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent, unlocking barriers to value for priority spend categories.
+ Expert negotiator with proven experience in setting negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations.
+ Strong project management skills, including adhering to stakeholder timelines, and meeting management skills.
+ Extensive knowledge of the basic types of commercial agreement structures and the function and purpose of key legal terms.
+ **Knowledge & experience of handling Indirect Sourcing categories with a specific focus on Facilities, Logistics, and Security Services is required.**
+ Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization, and works easily in multi-business unit project settings; able to facilitate teamwork across corporate & geographical boundaries.
+ Contract drafting experience as well as an excellent understanding of contractual terms, both commercially and legally.
