ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE
Support creation and periodically modification of bank's medium to long-term strategy ensuring seamless translation of strategic objectives into actionable business plans and measurable outcomes across all business verticals.
To identify, plan, and support execute strategic initiatives that drive towards organizational vision and regulatory requirements.
Ensure envisioned outcomes of the identified initiatives are achieved within desired timelines.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators to measure the success of strategic initiatives

IV.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Business/ Financials
Support the annual strategic planning exercise across businesses and quarterly strategy reviews
Monitor strategic initiative budgets and provide variance analysis to senior management
Oversee the conduct of in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
Analyze industry trends, best practices and competitive landscape to guide strategic thinking and decisions.
Planning and executing the banks initiatives for process optimization and TAT readiness.
Digital transformation initiatives to achieve high technology-low-cost operations
Customer (Both Internal & External)
Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including management and team members
Coordinate with industry associations, fintech partners, and technology vendors for strategic initiatives
Internal Process
Management presentations on strategic initiatives and market developments
Collaborate extensively internally to ensure the Bank's strategy is effectively structured and embedded so that teams and colleagues know how they contribute to the Bank's overall objectives.
Establish governance frameworks for strategic initiatives, ensuring that all new initiatives are monitored for success and aligned with the bank's strategic priorities.
Collaborate effectively with Finance team to ensure robust monitoring and reporting of the Bank's progress against its objectives.
Develop performance management frameworks to monitor strategic initiatives across business verticals, ensuring timely and effective execution.
Provide feedback on required analysis to advance solution development and to support execution of strategic initiatives, digital growth and data-based decisions in day to day working of the bank
Analyze risks and complex issues to provide strategic guidance & efficient solutions.
Ensure timely submission of all regulatory reports with zero non-compliance instances
Innovation & Learning
Research industry best practices and emerging trends
Support organizational transformation and change management initiatives
Promote a culture of innovation and data orientation across the bank by encouraging teams to develop creative solutions for business challenges.
Foster collaborative working relationships across departments and regions
V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Educational
Qualifications
Essential: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from reputed institution with specialization in Strategy, Finance, or Banking
Preferred: Additional professional qualifications such as CFA, CA, or equivalent
Alternative: Master's in Economics, Finance, or related field with demonstrated strategic experience
Experience Range (Years and Core Experience Type)
Minimum: 8-12 years of progressive experience in banking, financial services, or strategic consulting.
Certifications
Certifications in Strategic Planning, Digital Transformation or Business Analytics will be advantageous
Functional Skills
Financial Analysis: Advanced financial modeling, ratio analysis, and performance measurement
Strategic Planning: Business plan development, competitive analysis, and market research
Data Analytics:Proficiency in data-driven decision making and analytics tools
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of RBI guidelines, banking regulations, and compliance requirements
