Job Title: Platform Control & Support Manager (UK / APAC / US Shift)

Role Overview





The Platform Control & Support Manager acts as a centralised control point for all Mandate and Broker requests across the platform. The role ensures an optimal client experience while reducing operational risk and driving efficiency and standardisation. The team collaborates early in the sales governance and product innovation cycle, gathering requirements and conducting impact assessments across capability, cost, and risk.

The manager ensures requests are prioritised appropriately, operational readiness is achieved, stakeholders are informed, and events are delivered successfully end-to-end.



Typical events include client/fund onboarding and offboarding, asset transfers, mandate or benchmark changes, LDI parameter updates, restructures, mergers, custodian changes, new share class introductions, market access enablement, and approval of new instruments, brokers, or trading venues.


Key Responsibilities




Team Leadership & Support




Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for complex events and queries. Coach junior team members on problem solving, event management, and best practices. Ensure functions meet the needs of internal clients and business partners.

Operational Oversight & Event Management




Oversee daily operational activities across the platform for mandate and broker onboarding. Handle prioritisation calls and escalations to ensure timely decision-making. Collate requirements from Client Group, Corporate, Product, and Investment related to mandates, markets, instruments, trading platforms, regulations, and vendor events. Conduct initial and detailed impact assessments across legal frameworks, managed entities, third parties, and investment requirements against service catalogues. Project manage asset transfer events end-to-end, ensuring seamless execution. Liaise with Legal on IMA changes and manage documentation queues related to onboarding and lifecycle events. Ensure accurate configuration and setup across the platform, maintaining accountability for operational readiness. Support process improvements, ensure adherence to operating guidelines, and maintain strong operational controls.

Must-Have Skills & Experience




Business & Technical Knowledge




Strong understanding of asset management operations, including onboarding requirements and platform capabilities. Solid knowledge of

derivative products

and

complex markets

. Awareness of the

regulatory and legal framework

within asset management. Ability to interpret and work within service catalogues and core operational capabilities.

Communication & Stakeholder Management




Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and interpret stakeholder needs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build, maintain, and influence stakeholder relationships.

Operational Excellence




High attention to detail, with strong accuracy across data management, mandate data, and documentation. Proven ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and projects simultaneously. Strong capability in requirement gathering, impact assessment, and resolving complex operational challenges.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills




Ability to analyse legal, regulatory, and operational requirements to support robust decision-making. Strong root-cause analysis and ability to lead problem-solving across complex events.

Adaptability & Professional Behaviours

Good-to-Have Skills & Experience




Experience with emerging digital technologies including

. Experience in platform operations within a global asset management environment. Prior experience in workflow optimisation, automation, or process re-engineering. Familiarity with multi-shift environments (UK/APAC/US) and cross-regional operational coordination.
