Platform control & Support Manager Role

Responsibilities:





A single-entry point and centralised control for Mandate and Broker requests to the platform. The team prioritises client experience, risk reduction and efficiency, maximising reuse of platform capabilities and driving standardisation. The team engages early as part of sales governance and product innovation processes. For every Mandate or Broker request they gather and assess requirements to complete an impact assessment of capability, risk, and cost, collaborating with other stakeholders across the business, including Platform Services, Legal, Compliance, Client Group and Investment and where anything non-standard is identified, working with the Operating Model Impact Assessment Team and Product Owners in the Change Function. From initiation to successful delivery, they ensure work is correctly prioritised, provide clear implementation instructions to Platform Services Onboarding and Event Management and oversee and assure operational readiness. They serve as an escalation point for issues and ensure stakeholders are kept appropriately informed. Typical events include onboarding and offboarding of clients or funds, receipt or withdrawal of assets, mandate benchmark or LDI parameter changes, portfolio restructures, mergers, custodian changes, portfolio set-up and closure, introduction of new share classes, enabling market access, approval of new instruments, brokers, and trading venues.




Key Responsibilities:





Provides technical support, guidance, and acts as an escalation point for less experienced members of the team. Coaches the team on more complex events, problem solving and query management techniques. Ensure the functions are meeting the needs of our business partners and internal clients. Oversee daily operational activities performed across the Platform for Mandate and Broker on Boarding Handle escalations and prioritisation calls Collate requirements from Client Group, Corporate, Product and Investment relating to mandates, instruments, markets, trading platforms, regulation and vendor events. Conduct initial and detailed impact assessment of legal framework, managed entity, third party and Investment requirements against Service Catalogues- e.g. custodian, investment management org unit etc Oversee and project manage Asset Transfer events end to end. Liaise with Legal on IMA Changes, prioritising the documentation queue associated with onboarding journeys and lifecycle events. Oversee Platform Services set up and ensure accurate data is configured across the platform, maintaining ultimate accountability for overall operational readiness. Assist with any process improvement, ensure operating guidelines are met and controls are accurately completed


Skills and Behaviours Required?




Business Technical Knowledge:

Good asset management overall knowledge with a strong understanding of derivative products and more complex markets, platform operations including onboarding requirements and day to day capabilities being set up, regulatory and legal framework awareness and understanding of service catalogues and core capabilities

Communication:

Proficient in both written and verbal communication for clearly conveying information, understanding client needs and interpreting feedback from stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and nurture long-term relationships

Attention to detail:

accuracy in handling information, communications, and compliance throughout an event, reducing the risk of errors. High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in data management, mandate data maintenance, and documentation. Proactive in identifying and implementing and maintaining operational controls and guidelines.

Organisational Skills:

The capability to manage multiple requests and projects simultaneously, ensuring that tasks are prioritised and completed promptly.
