Process Overview*
Business Finance and Control (BFC) sits within the CFO Org and is mainly responsible to ensure strong financial controls along with enabling the business. The Counterparty Portfolio Management (CPM) BFC supports the CPM business, which falls under Global Markets and specifically in the Global Market FICC division. The CPM business includes 1) XVA desk which is responsible for managing the counterparty credit and Funding risk (CVA/FVA), Cross Asset Structured Notes - Central Funding Desk (CFD) responsible to centrally manage and own the various exotic structured notes issued by the bank and 3) Risk optimization group which consists of Collateral trade optimization (CTO) and Risk Opt desk.
The CPM BFC teams are responsible for assisting in Analysis & reporting of XVAs, CFD & Collateral PnL and ensuring integrity, completeness, and accuracy of PnL data. Teams work closely with CPM front office desks and support them on various other initiatives to enable the business and ensure better controls.

Responsibilities*
Responsibilities for this role will initially require an associate to perform daily business as usual operations which entails running of PnL reports and interacting with various stakeholders such as Front office, Operations and technology support to refine existing processes. Also, individual will be accountable for the success of small projects or sections of larger ones & responsible for the quality and timeliness of all project deliverables.
CPM Daily P&L
o Review and validate daily inputs into PnL calculations
o PnL report preparation and distribution/presentation
o Trader Flash to Actual explain
o New deal/activity analysis
o Commentary and submission into Ledger
o Front to Back reconciliations
Month-end submissions, Expected to Actual Analysis, Ledger Vs SubLedger
Control activities that support risk mitigation
Participate/Initiate PnL & Risk analysis in response to any market/regulatory event
Process Improvement
o Identify issues and control gaps in existing infrastructure
o Work with technology team to streamline our processes and enhance data integrity and control

Requirements*

Education*
Bachelors/masters degree in finance, Financial Engineering, Chartered Accountant
Certifications If Any
Good to have (not mandatory) CFA, FRM

Experience Range*
4 7 years of experience working in Product Control / Middle Office / Market or Credit Risk role

Foundational skills*
o Basic understanding of Counterparty Credit risk, Market Risk and regulations impacting investment banking

o Work with technology team to streamline our processes and enhance data integrity and control

Requirements*

o Knowledge of financial instruments including the valuation of OTC derivatives in IR, FX, Credit
o Knowledge of pricing vanilla derivative products and their risk drivers like Futures, Options, Indexes, CDS, FRAs, SWAPs, SWAPTIONs, CAPs/FLOORs.
