JOB PURPOSE
Providing HR operations activities for the country (e.g., local labor relation, compliance, payroll services, training delivery, recruitment support, employee data maintenance & reporting, ER, & Medical services etc.)
Drive service excellence, value creation and strive for high customer and employee satisfaction across all HR Operation areas. Build and execute a joined governance for HR processes and establish a goal oriented measurement system to holistically drive performance, quality and value of HR Operation for its customers and served employees. Set the strategic direction of HR Operation in the country and support in creating a value-maximizing service organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Administration:

  • Manage payroll via vendor managed payroll process, for all India employees/contractors and ensure 100% accurate and timely delivery every month, as well as compliance with company policies, and relevant laws.
  • Review, audit and transmit payroll files for processing and salary transfer.
  • Ensure timely payout for 1 time inputs eg- rewards, referrals, bonuses etc.

Benefits Administration:
  • Manage Retirals of all employees – PF administration, monitor Superannuation and Gratuity funds etc.
  • Drive administration of Group Medical Insurance, Term Life & Personal Accident Insurance for the entire company
  • Liaise with the employees, TPA and the insurance company for smooth processing of insurance cases & the entire yearly renewal process.
  • Monitor claim ratios and completion of other administrative procedures

Compliance:
  • Work with the vendors/consultants and ensure compliance to labor statutes such as PF Act, Labor Welfare Fund Act, Shops & Commercial Establishment Act, Payment of Wages Act, etc.

HR Management – Policies & Objectives:
  • Interpret specific HR policies and answer inquiries from employees. Attend to employee grievances, if any and to provide guidance. Formulate, review and implement effective HR policies and procedures that are in line with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Establish local human resource strategies that are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the organization’s objectives.
  • Implement and assist in development of HR policies and processes.
  • Oversee Vendor Management and their timely renewal & payments.

Data Management/ HRIS:
  • Monitor HRIS data entries (new comers, amendments, etc.) for the entire company, including regular data controls & updates.
  • Supervise, manage and audit completion of documentation for employees including new joinees and ensure their accuracy & proper filing in records.
  • Maintain the SAP system in India and ensure all related workflows are working according to their definitions
  • Lead and monitor all recruiting activities for Para Professional and contractors for SBUs/Bus

Expat Management:
  • Ensures expat payroll is completed in timely, accurate and compliant manner
  • Provides expat counseling for all those going on assignment as well as to Managers and HRMs
  • Ensures vendor relationship with immigration, tax, Global Health, payroll, HRIS
  • Works with SABIC Global Mobility Leader to ensure consistency of policy and application
  • Assists in Global Employment Company project where applicable
  • Ensures compliance to all country laws

Process Improvement and Reports:
  • Lead simplification & automation efforts for the work areas
  • Establishes audit routines for determining timeliness and accuracy of data in HRIS system
  • Establishes dashboards for Region to measure HRIS timeliness and accuracy
  • Coordinates HRIS processes and system with Regional payroll and benefits team
  • Standardizes and automate reporting for HR teams for use in other HR and business processes
  • Looks at potential improvements in HRIS system to improve consistency and reduce opportunities for error
