Job Description

Key Responsibilities

HR Compliance Governance


Lead and oversee end-to-end HR compliance framework across the organization
Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations (CLRA, Shops & Establishments, Factories Act, PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Bonus, TDS, etc.)Interpret regulatory changes and translate them into actionable HR policies and processes

Statutory & Regulatory Management


Ensure timely statutory filings, returns, challans, and registrations
Oversee compliance for employee lifecycle events (onboarding, payroll, exits, contractors)Manage compliance for outsourced staff, vendors, and third-party payrolls

Audits, Inspections & Risk Management


Lead internal and external HR compliance audits
Represent the organization during labor inspections and regulatory inquiries
Identify compliance risks and implement corrective and preventive actions

Policy & Documentation


Draft, review, and update HR policies, SOPs, and statutory registers
Ensure proper maintenance of records, licenses, and employee documentation
Drive standardization of compliance practices across locations

Stakeholder Collaboration


Partner with Legal, Finance, Payroll, HR Ops, and business leaders
Advise senior management on compliance risks and mitigation strategies
Coordinate with consultants, labor authorities, and external auditors

Team Leadership & Capability Building


Review team outputs for accuracy and regulatory adherence
Lead, mentor, and develop the HR compliance team
Build compliance awareness across HR and business teams

Technology & Process Improvement


Leverage HRIS and compliance tools for automation and tracking
Improve compliance dashboards, MIS, and reporting
Drive process efficiencies and reduce compliance gaps

Required Qualifications


MBA / Master's degree in HR, Labor Law, or related discipline
8-14+ years of experience in HR Compliance / Industrial Relations
Strong experience in

BFSI / NBFC / Manufacturing / Large Corporate

setups
In-depth knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance

Preferred Qualifications


Experience handling multi-state or pan-India compliance
Exposure to labor litigation and inspections
Familiarity with HRIS and compliance automation tools
