Job Title: CNC Roll Grinding Expert
:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Roll Grinding Expert to manage and optimize roll grinding operations in CRD Rolling Mills . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC roll grinding machines, strong programming skills, and a deep understanding of precision grinding processes for cylindrical rolls used in Cold Rolling Mills .
Key Responsibilities:Operate CNC Roll Grinding Machines: Set up and operate CNC roll grinding machines to achieve required Ra and dimensional tolerances on cylindrical rolls. Program Optimization: Develop and refine CNC programs to optimize grinding parameters such as wheel speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. Roll Profile Accuracy: Ensure accurate grinding of roll profiles including crown, taper as per specifications required. Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, Ra Testor ) to verify surface finish, Roughness value and dimensional accuracy. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to grinding wheel wear, chatter, wheel mark and machine alignment. Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC roll grinding machines to ensure consistent performance and minimize downtime. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of machine settings, grinding parameters, and inspection results for traceability and continuous improvement.

Requirements:Qualification : Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering or equivalent Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in CNC roll grinding operations in a manufacturing or heavy industry. Technical Skills: Proficient in CNC programming and operation, with strong knowledge Precision Focus: Strong attention to detail and understanding of surface finish requirements (Ra, Rz) and dimensional tolerances. Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and correct grinding-related issues efficiently. Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with production and maintenance teams. Automation Experience: Familiarity with automated roll measurement systems (measuring arm , wheel balancing unit etc) Quality Certifications: ISO 9001 or similar quality management certifications.
