The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

End to end ownership of the process around cost reporting services covering Function / Segment / Regional business portfolios. Ensure high quality service delivery through measurable performance metrics ensuring effective control and risk management along with stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely delivery of services relating to Performance Management as agreed with the stakeholders in a timely and qualitative manner.
  • Ensure services are delivered as per the service levels agreed; work with a cohesive team to produce the Analysis and Reports in a timely and accurate manner. Key responsibilities include timely delivery, robust analytical review of key deliverables, strengthening controls, and pro-active stakeholder engagement.
  • Responsible for the preparing and review of various MIS / Variance Analysis; work on Ad-hoc by gauging the requirements from stakeholders and GFS vide governance activities in respect of processes managed (e.g. compilation of Key Risk Indicators, Dashboard, and Metrics, etc).
  • Effectively engage with senior stakeholders / business CFOs to deliver a shared agenda of improvements / enhancements.
  • Challenge processes in order to achieve more effective processes and efficiency saves to the Organization. Participate and give suggestions in the transformation programmes focusing on elimination of waste and building scale; work with Change management teams to drive automation and simplification of processes.
  • Collaborate with other functions in GFS to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the business unit.
  • Comply, Validate and Report all Key Performance Indicators within the overall service delivery framework. This includes identification, measurement, monitoring and control of all thresholds set as part of Governance Framework of the bank. Any breaches of the above framework are promptly highlighted to the line manager.
  • Ensure Operations risk monitoring across all processes covered by the team and report key risks emanating from them to right forums.
  • Ensure complete compliance with Group Code of Conduct and Social agenda of the organization.
  • Develop key people management and stakeholder management skills to move into People Manager / SME roles.
  • Independent and Confident, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

  • Strong Analytical and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of Performance management and process Management.
Business
  • Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to process. Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders. Working with Business partners, stakeholders and clients to provide vision and direction to upscale the existing level of service.
Processes
  • Substantial experience of banking, depth and breadth of knowledge in processes especially in the areas of Management Reporting.
Governance
  • Effectively lead change, manage and escalate risks arising out of transition of new processes Ensuring that an effective system of financial and operational controls are introduced, maintained and continually enhanced. Ensure adherence to Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Operational Risk framework. Ensure adequate governance is exercised in the introduction / decommissioning of new processes and that relevant documentation and controls as applicable are duly complied with.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Lead the team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • CWA / MBA / B.Com with minimum 6 years of experience
