Manager Surface Network & Fleet Management (Mumbai)

What You will do Everyday?

Strategic

- Formulate strategy, workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Surface Network, Fleet Operations & vehicle supplier management.

- Assist in mapping hub locations for cost & transit efficiency.

Financial

- Monitor expenses under various heads, ensure cost efficiency and adherence to the departmental budget.

- Periodic cost reviews and suggest various sustainable cost saving measures.

Operational

Fleet Management

- Ensure compliances and adherence to SOPs for Fleet Operations at all miles FM, MM & LM.

- Monitor all India indent/order fulfilment and planning of different size/capacity of vehicles on routes along with the Regional Teams to have maximum capacity utilization.

- Effective Centralized Vehicle Supplier Management for Network, First Mile and Last Mile.

- Cross functional collaboration with procurement, accounts, and finance department for entire supplier on-boarding process (RFQ-Bidding-Negotiation-awarding Work Orders- Timely performance Analysis) as per company\'s guidelines.

- Monitor Vehicle Supplier performance and ensure corrective action are implemented within set time frame.

- Have updated information on administration of a comprehensive fleet maintenance and repair program for owned and contractual/outsourced fleet.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory & statutory compliances and company\'s guidelines on vehicles, Driver(s), and Suppliers.

- Ensure adherence to branding norms for vehicles (as per contractual terms) and ensure remedial actions in case of deviations (as highlighted during branding audits)

- Ensure collaboration with regional teams for pro-active push and pull on all service quality parameters.

- Oversee and ensure safety requirements are fulfilled including regular safety trainings, audits, and briefings for drivers.

- Ensure on time updating and maintaining database of fleet & fleet operations including OTP, suppliers, network FM, MM & LM.

Network Management (FM, MM & LM)

- Designing, upgrading and implementing the Network based on efficient & competitive transit time.

- Controlling and Monitoring Vehicle performances per STD, STA under Network Module and through Control Tower.

- Publishing Network Reports to stakeholders.

- Conduct network reviews with regional teams and recommend cost and transit optimizing steps for approvals.

- Implement Shipment Safety measures and ensure damages are under control.

People

- Provide direction, guidance and support to subordinates to help them discharge their duties effectively

- Monitor the performance of subordinates on a continuous basis to identify key performers, mentor, and coach them effectively.

Complete in time all Trainings for the team within assigned timelines.

Your Superpowers

Essential

- Graduate/PG preferably in science/commerce stream.

- 10-15 years\' experience of handling Express Network and Fleet Operation at pan India level.

- Exposure to TMS, Network Module and Fleet Control Tower.

- Working expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word & Power Point).

- Well versed with related technological interventions and innovations including VTS, EV etc.

Desirable

- SCM/Logistics diploma/degree.

- Working exposure to ERP/SAP

Reporting structure - This role will report to Head Ground Operations
