Job Description

The Finance Manager will oversee financial management, project costing, budget control, cash flow management, and statutory compliance for real estate and construction projects. This role requires strong financial planning skills, knowledge of project-based accounting, and experience managing end-to-end finance operations within the real estate & construction sector.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Management & Reporting



Oversee day-to-day finance operations across all projects. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Review MIS reports, project-wise profitability, and financial KPIs. Monitor cash flows, fund utilization, and prepare cash flow projections. Ensure timely closure of monthly and annual books.

2. Project Costing & Budget Control

. Validate contractor bills, purchase orders, and material cost approvals. Track project-wise expenses, deviations, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare cost variance analysis for management review.

3. Revenue Management (Real Estate Specific)



Manage RERA-related financial documentation and compliance. Monitor customer collections, milestone-based billing, and reconciliation. Coordinate with sales and CRM teams for collection follow-ups. Ensure accurate accounting of revenue as per Ind AS and RERA guidelines.

4. Fund Management & Banking



Manage working capital, loans, overdrafts, LC/ BG requirements. Liaise with banks for project funding, documentation, disbursement & compliance. Prepare CMA reports and financial projections for funding proposals. Handle interest calculations, EMI schedules, and loan covenant compliance.

5. Statutory Compliance



Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, RERA, PF/ESI, PT, and other laws. Handle assessments, audits, and queries from statutory authorities. Coordinate with internal, statutory, and tax auditors.

6. Internal Controls & Process Implementation



Implement strong internal controls for procurement, billing, and cash handling. Review contracts, vendor agreements, and project financial terms. Strengthen ERP/Tally/Construction ERP processes for accuracy & transparency.

7. Team Leadership



Lead and guide the finance & accounts team. Train team members on financial processes, controls, and reporting. Support cross-functional teams (Projects, Sales, Procurement, HR).

Required Skills & Competencies



Strong knowledge of real estate and construction finance operations. Expertise in project costing, WIP management, and revenue recognition. Proficiency in Tally ERP/Construction ERP/SAP. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Advanced MS Excel for MIS, analytics, budgeting, and dashboards.

Qualification & Experience



Qualification:

CA / CA Inter / MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com.

Experience:

8-10 years in Finance & Accounts, with minimum 5 years in

real estate or construction industry
