Job Description

Roles and Responsibility

  • CCIB Business Finance Manager with primary focus on Commercial Banking (CB) sub segment. In addition, the candidate will also focus on Lending business and GSAM analytics / reporting. The role requires working closely with CB segment business head and Relationship Managers. The role will require FP&A skills, analytics delivery, control and oversight on performance.
Strategy
  • CCIB Finance team partners with various businesses, products as well as functional stakeholders to provide analysis, insights and strategic decision support related to Segment performance. The team seeks to influence and help drive the performance of the Segment
  • The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of Segment's performance in India, key dynamics, drivers, and trends impacting the business, as well as the opportunity to influence strategic decision making
  • This role provides exposure to a vast internal network of both business and functional stakeholders. It suits an individual with strong analytical, problem solving, and change management skills with experience of driving change within large multinational companies and can deliver under pressure
Business
  • The candidate will be responsible for delivering a wide range of performance analysis of the Segment/ Product, progress against plans, highlighting risks and opportunities, and improving processes and effectiveness of the function
  • This role requires an individual with hands-on experience and attention to details, a self-starter who is willing to work with limited direct supervision, and someone who can deliver under tight deadlines. The team does analysis and presentations to senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will have the potential to raise the bar on performance by setting high quality standard in supporting demanding senior stakeholders
  • The candidate will interact extensively with business, product, and various teams across the bank primarily in India and region, in a fast-paced environment. The engagement also includes a range of senior Finance management stakeholders across different Product and Segment teams, as well as finance teams across the Bank's network
Processes
  • Build insights and analytics capabilities across CCIB Finance India to support key decision making
  • Partner with segment/ product teams to drive insight into performance
  • To co-ordinate and drive appropriate accounting, detailed reconciliation, and analysis of GSAM book and its provisioning (both by Group standards and Local regulations)
  • Undertake detailed peer review and external benchmarking analysis, identifying areas of best practice and key focus areas
  • Prepare and coordinate Segment presentations for CCIB MBR, Asia Finance Management Team and other management forum
  • Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
