Responsibilities

• Directs the monthly close process of the service provider to ensure timely and accurate closing of books of accounts.
• Design and implement appropriate controls and ensure compliance in their area of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with USGAAP
• Oversee the work of the 3rd party and develop and manage metrics tracking and reporting
• Manage all audit and statutory compliance activities related to the area of responsibility.
• Support ad-hoc projects and activities, as required, including integration of acquisitions.
• Ensuring that all corporate policy changes are incorporated in the accounting process and communicated appropriately to the 3rd party service provider.
• Involvement in initiating, driving and leading strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Professional Accounting designation (i.e. CA, CPA, CMA) preferred
• Seven years + of related experience in private industry and/or public accounting firm
• Experience with ERP systems, Workday preferred
• Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment
• Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills (English, both written and verbal) including the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving and analysis skills
• Excellent leadership, project management and people management skills
• Contribute to the leadership of the Corporate Finance team providing leadership and direction
