Maintain the company's day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow) and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
Monitor variances between budget vs actuals and provide actionable insights to management.
Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory and tax requirements (GST, TDS, income tax, etc).
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
Implement and continuously improve internal control systems and financial policies.
Manage cash flow, working capital optimization and expense control.
Administration & Operations
Oversee all administrative functions: office management, travel & logistics, vendor management, facility maintenance, IT & equipment procurement.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that increase efficiency and reduce cost.
Manage vendor contracts, service level agreements; negotiate favorable terms and ensure vendor performance.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, security, data protection and other operational regulations.
Support HR/people operations in coordination with finance: policy implementation, expense reimbursements, payroll support (if applicable).
Lead or coordinate cross-functional operational projects (office expansion, relocation, technology roll-out, etc).
Strategy & Partnering
Act as a strategic partner to leadership by providing financial modelling, forecast scenarios, and operational insights.
Work across departments (engineering, sales, marketing, HR) to understand cost drivers, resource needs and help drive efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems (including ERP / accounting software), reporting dashboards, and automation.
Qualifications & Experience
MBA Finance or MComequivalent desirable.
Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance, preferably in a technology / startup / fast-growing environment.
Track record of handling full-cycle finance, budgeting, audits, compliance, and strong administrative operations.
Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical skills, high numerical proficiency, strong attention to detail.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt in a high-pace environment, and drive change.
Experience with accounting/ERP software -ZOHO Mandatory and advanced Excel skills.
