Job Title: Manager - Facility Maintenance & Monitoring for R&D Test Facilities
Location: Rohtak
Role Summary
Responsible for maintenance, project management, and revenue budget control of automotive R&D testing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage techno-commercial aspects of facility maintenance, Prepare and monitor annual budgets for maintenance.
Plan and execute Periodic Calibration/preventive/predictive maintenance.
Develop long-term maintenance strategies aligned with organizational goals
Optimize resource allocation and reduce operational costs through data-driven decisions, drive continuous improvement initiatives for facility efficiency and cost optimization
Lead and mentor team members to ensure uptime and optimal utilization of R&D test facilities
Coordinate with internal R&D teams, vendors, and external agencies for seamless test facility operations
Establish risk mitigation plans for critical facility operations
Ensure compliance with global standards and regulatory frameworks, Ensure safety compliance and audit readiness (e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001).
Evaluate emerging technologies for facility automation and sustainability, Implement AI/IoT-based predictive facility health monitoring systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot R&D test equipment (e.g., dynamometers, EV test systems, Climatic Chambers and other central Utilities e.g. Electrical, HVAC etc.).
Technical & Analytical Skills
Interpret electrical schematics, equipment layouts, and facility P&IDs.
Strong data analysis and visualization (Excel, PowerPoint).
Logical reasoning and problem-solving with Root Cause Analysis.
Required Competencies
Knowledge of international business (L/C, INCO Terms, FTA etc.).
Experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI, AI/ML, IoT platforms.
Experience with operation and maintenance of Chassis / Engine Dynamometers, HVAC system, Electrical System and other central utilities, Emission Measurement Systems, Battery Emulators and other Automotive Test Facilities
Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
Qualifications
B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechatronics.
Minimum 65% marks.
7-12 years in automotive testing facility maintenance.
