To lead and manage all activities related to electrical systems and instrumentation across the edible oil plant, including utilities, refinery, packing, and vanaspati sections. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, project execution, and ensuringcompliance with safety and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Maintenance & Reliability
Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, and switchgear.
Ensure availability of critical power systems (refinery, boiler, packing lines, chillers, etc.).
Supervise motor control centers (MCCs), APFC panels, and cable networks.
Maintain proper electrical load management and energy efficiency.
2. Instrumentation & Automation
Ensure calibration, maintenance, and operation of field instruments: pressure gauges, RTDs, flow meters, level sensors, etc.
Manage automation systems, including PLC, SCADA, VFDs, and plant monitoring systems.
Troubleshoot instrumentation faults in refinery, vanaspati and packing lines.
3. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, IER (Indian Electricity Rules), and explosion-proof (EX) area classification norms.
Maintain documentation of electrical and instrumentation drawings, SOPs, and calibration certificates.
4. Team Management & Training
Supervise electrical and instrumentation technicians, contractors, and shift engineers.
Organize regular training on electrical safety, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and instrumentation handling.
Monitor team performance and develop technical competency.
5. Projects & Modifications
Lead electrical/instrumentation aspects of new projects, upgrades, and CAPEX installations.
Coordinate with vendors and design teams for panel fabrication, automation upgrades, and sensor integration.
