Position Overview:



The Manager for the Multi-Vendor E-commerce Platform will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and daily operations of a multi-vendor marketplace. The individual will manage relationships with vendors, collaborate on Marketing and User experience initiatives, and lead a cross-functional team. The role demands a strong understanding of e-commerce trends, vendor management, platform analytics, and customer engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:



Vendor Management & Onboarding:



Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of vendors to the platform. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring compliance with platform policies. Collaborate with vendors to ensure optimal product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities. Regularly review vendor performance metrics, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.

Marketing and User Experience:



Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth functionality across product listing, order processing, and customer service. Collaborate with Marketing teams to oversee the day-to-day marketing campaigns and analytics to ensure high visibility of the platform in the niche segment. User analytics to improve sales

Cross-Functional Leadership:



Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, customer service, and tech support. Work closely with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns that drive vendor participation and customer acquisition. Partner with logistics and fulfillment teams to streamline shipping processes and ensure timely delivery of products. Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams and vendors to ensure alignment of business goals.

Financial Management:



Monitor and manage the financial performance of the platform, including sales targets, revenue, vendor fees, and profit margins. Work with the finance team to manage vendor billing, payments, and commissions. Prepare regular financial and performance reports for senior leadership.

Quality Control & Compliance:



Ensure all products and services offered on the platform meet quality standards and compliance regulations. Develop processes for handling product reviews, returns, and customer disputes efficiently and fairly.

Customer Experience:



Continuously optimize the platform to enhance the overall customer journey, from browsing to checkout and after-sales support. Work with customer service teams to resolve escalated issues and maintain high satisfaction levels. Implement feedback loops to gather and act upon customer insights to improve the shopping experience.

Key Qualifications:



Experience:



Minimum 2 years of experience in e-commerce management, with at least 2 years in a manager or leaderhship role overseeing multi-vendor platforms. Strong vendor management experience and knowledge of marketplace operations.

Skills:



Proven experience in managing large-scale e-commerce platforms with multiple stakeholders. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills to assess platform performance and identify areas for improvement. Proficient in e-commerce tools, platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify Plus, WooCommerce), and analytics software. Strong negotiation and relationship management skills to handle vendors and external partners.

Education:



Bachelor's degree in Business, E-commerce, Marketing, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Preferred Competencies:



Expertise in customer acquisition and retention strategies. Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape, including key players, new trends, and regulatory challenges. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results. Experience with international vendors or cross-border e-commerce operations is a plus.
