Role Summary:
The DevSecOps Manager is a strategic leader responsible for embedding security into every stage of the software development lifecycle. This role ensures that security is automated, scalable, and integrated into CI/CD pipelines, while fostering a culture of collaboration between development, operations, and security teams. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with leadership skills to drive secure, high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Governance

• Build and lead a high-performing DevSecOps team.
• Define security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud-native and on-prem environments.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for DevSecOps maturity across the organization.

Security Automation & Integration

• Integrate automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., SAST, DAST, dependency scanning).
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code security controls using tools like Terraform, Ansible.
• Drive adoption of container security and runtime protection (Kubernetes, Docker).

Risk Management & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for applications and infrastructure.
• Oversee vulnerability management and remediation processes.

Monitoring & Incident Response

• Establish proactive security monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis for security breaches.
• Collaborate with SOC teams for threat detection and mitigation.

Collaboration & Culture

• Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed security early in development.
• Conduct training and awareness programs on secure coding and DevSecOps practices.
• Advocate for a "shift-left" security approach across all teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 12+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps roles, with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS).
• Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and security integration.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration and security (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with security tools (SonarQube, HashiCorp Vault).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure Security Specialty, or DevSecOps-specific certs.
• Experience with zero-trust architecture and advanced threat detection.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and cloud-native security patterns.
