About the Role:Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join our team. This role involves a blend of hands-on technical expertise, strategic planning, and leadership, focusing on designing and implementing innovative AI/ML cloud-native solutions across various business units. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from scoping requirements with stakeholders to delivering and maintaining robust applications in production. This role also involves mentoring team members, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to the ongoing development of our existing AI/ML cloud infrastructure and governance practices.
The position will report into Vice President & Head - Innovation & Digital, RPG Enterprises
Key Responsibilities:o Machine learning end to end implementation: Have proven experience in ideating, implementing and successfully operationalizing machine learning algorithms. Be an expert at supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques with proficiency in at least 3-4 algorithms - classification, regression, causal AI, etc.o Experiment, build and implement solutions / models involving a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, variety of data tools, creating / running algorithms and simulationso Develop Proof of Concepts / Prototypes and Production ready applications. Design Prototyping, Customer Demonstration and Validationo Turn insights into actionable recommendations which will drive business value creation. Get into the details of the data, using artificial intelligence and analytical tools to unlock insights in enterprise data.o Solution Design and Development: Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS, GCP, Azure addressing diverse business needs across multiple group companies. This includes architecting and implementing data pipelines, APIs, and AI/ML solutions; GenAI based applications would be a good add-on.o Develop and implement end to end solution from concept, design development, data discovery, data analysis, data engineering, data pipeline building, algorithm selection / developmento Explore technologies for solving ad hoc business problems, innovating on potential future solutions, and working with technology partners to translate innovations into robust, scaled, analytical solutions.o Project Management: Lead the entire project lifecycle, including scoping, planning, execution, and communication. Effectively translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders across different business units to understand their needs and challenges. Collaborate actively across functional partners and senior management to accomplish various project objectives.o Operational Support: Provide ongoing technical support for production applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes. Ensure the stability and performance of deployed solutions.

Potentially add-on responsibilitieso Cloud Infrastructure Management: Lead cloud infrastructure initiatives on GCP and AWS, including optimizing resource utilization. Drive the adoption of CI/CD practice using tools like GitHub.o Innovation & Research: Explore and implement emerging technologies, such as GenAI and NLP, to develop innovative solutions and proof-of-concepts. Stay up to date with industry's best practices and trends.o Team Leadership & Mentorship: Onboard, mentor, and delegate work to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Conduct regular reviews and contribute to team building.o Vendor & Resource Management: Manage vendor relationships and oversee resource allocation as needed
Qualifications & Skills:Must have qualifications and skillso Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native AI/ML solutions on AWS, Azure and GCP.o Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks: Python, R, TensorFlow, visualization libraries like streamlit / dash, Lang chain framework, PowerBI, etc.o Strong understanding of data engineering principles and experience with data pipelines, data warehousing, and data visualization.o Understanding Software Development Lifecycle, DevOps, MLOps, Big data architecture. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub.o Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and communication.o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.o Exposure in onboarding and managing vendor teams.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications in relevant technologies is a pluso Job experience of 7-8 years

Good to have qualifications and skillso Experience in handling mobility, web and cloud technologies, BOT frameworks etc. Programming tools like Java, SQL, Microsoft Power Platforms etc.o OR Experience with GenAI technologies, LLMs, RAG methodologies and NLPo Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications in relevant technologies is a plus
