How will you make an impact in this role?




The Manager, Data Analytics will use advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights that enhance engineering productivity and technology outcomes. This role partners with product owners, leadership team, engineers, scrum masters, and architects to define analytical requirements, design scalable solutions, and track key developer productivity metrics. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with the ability to translate engineering and system data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities



Developer Productivity Metrics

: Measure and analyze key productivity metrics such as throughput, cycle time, lead time, defect rates, code quality, release frequency, and deployment success rates.

Data Analysis & Insights

: Collect and analyze datasets from engineering tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow, SonarQube, Jenkins) to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

Reporting & Visualization

: Build dashboards and KPIs that track engineering efficiency, quality, and velocity, ensuring stakeholders have real-time visibility into performance.

Advanced Analytics

: Apply forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling to anticipate productivity issues and recommend preventative actions.

Technology Collaboration

: Partner with product owners, engineers, scrum masters, and architects to align analytics insights with product roadmaps and engineering priorities.

Data Governance & Quality

: Ensure reliability and consistency of productivity data across tools and systems.

Continuous Improvement

: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate reporting, and optimize engineering processes.

Communication

: Present findings to technology leaders in a clear, actionable way that supports decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications



Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in analytics or business intelligence, preferably in technology or engineering-focused environments. Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R. Expertise with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Hands-on experience with SDLC and engineering tools (Jira, Rally, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, ServiceNow). Strong understanding of productivity metrics and engineering analytics practices. Ability to synthesize complex data into practical insights for technology stakeholders. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills



Familiarity with frameworks for measuring developer productivity (e.g., SPACE, DORA metrics). Experience building predictive models for engineering performance. Exposure to Agile environments and DevOps practices. Background in software engineering or technology analytics.
