Position Title: Contracts Lead
Function: Ground Operations
Location: Gurugram
Reports to: Head - Airport Performance Management & Administration
Job Purpose
Oversee all Ground Operations contracts; create, analyze, and negotiate an array of contracts for various third-party vendors and other transactions. Build and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and other business connections.
Key Accountabilities Strategic Activities
- Draft and negotiate leases, contracts, and related agreements with various suppliers and vendors for Ground Handling (GH) services in line with the functional and organizational strategy.
- Assess the performance of all GH vendors and suppliers on a periodic basis.
- Coordinate with the Head - Airport Performance Management & Administration on adherence to budgets and control of administrative costs.
Contract Management
- Lead and manage ground handling suppliers and airport companies to deliver targeted performance outcomes in all areas of safety, compliance, cost control, and operational performance.
- Ensure that all GH suppliers comply with requirements, safety standards, and operational goals.
- Responsible for legal contract amendments, review of drafts, and follow-up on contract approvals.
- Assist in developing pre-qualification criteria for potential suppliers.
- Lead the preparation of various contract templates for standard GH agreements and contracts.
- Monitor all GH contracts for compliance and renegotiate as necessary in line with functional strategy.
- Create a system for documentation of all records for contracts.
Team Management
- Provide direction and advice to direct reports in performing their delegated responsibilities.
- Oversee the overall performance of direct reports and ensure KPIs are well communicated and monitored.
- Any additional responsibility may be assigned to the role holder as a standalone project or regular work, to be agreed upon between the incumbent, reporting officer, and HR.

Key Interfaces
Internal Interfaces:
- Airport Operations Teams: Coordinate on adherence to contractual budgets, preparation of new contracts, and renewals for existing contracts.
External Interfaces:
- Vendors/Suppliers: Lead the contract management process, manage relationships and contract renewals, and ensure that all GH suppliers comply with safety standards and operational goals.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Minimum Education: Masters/MBA/PGDM/PGP/PG degree and/or Law Degree (BA-LLB/BBA-LLB/LLM)
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in airport operations or managing airport contracts.
- Desired: Experience in the hospitality or aviation industry is an advantage, along with 8+ years of experience in contract management.
