About the Role




As a Manager - Compensation Partner, you will drive compensation initiatives, design and implement interventions, and influence business decisions through data-driven insights. You will need to collaborate cross-functionally, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure alignment with Cognizant's compensation philosophy. This role offers autonomy, opportunities to add value, and exposure to executive-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Strategy



Collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to design compensation structures focusing on cost, competitiveness, and compliance. Translate HRBP objectives into actionable compensation projects with clear scope, timelines, and success metrics. Set and communicate expectations to stakeholders for smooth program execution.

Development & Execution



Co-develop and refine BU-specific compensation strategies with HRBPs. Represent BU needs to Compensation Leadership and ensure alignment. Support HRBPs throughout the compensation lifecycle and manage BU-specific initiatives. Define and communicate success criteria across program phases. Handle ad-hoc compensation actions for respective BUs.

Operational Excellence



Create reusable templates and automated reports to empower HRBPs. Drive innovation in compensation service delivery. Identify and escalate challenges to leadership for timely resolution. Develop communication strategies to promote Total Rewards awareness. Monitor and report HRBP feedback and program progress to leadership.

Degree of Independence / Supervision Required



Requires moderate supervision on the job. Independently works under clearly laid out guidelines and strategic directions from the Regional Compensation Leadership & Global Total Rewards Leadership. Reports to the Regional Compensation Lead.

What You Must Have to Be Considered



4 years of experience (if from top B-school like MDI, IIMs, XIMB) or 7+ years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and presentation skills. Ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships. Educational background in Human Resources.
