All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national origin, veteran status, genetic information, union status and/or beliefs, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law. for this position To provide advisory support to our clients during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup of licensed units for Inorganics Technologies (Crystallization, Evaporation and concentration and purification of Inorganic Acids, Mono pressure and dual pressure Nitric Acid manufacturing processes, Ammonium Nitrate) and ensure safe and efficient start-up of the unit. This may require extended presence at our client\'s locations world over. This position also supports our Engineering teams during the BED and Post BED phase of the project, with commissioning and start up related inputs. Being an interface with our clients, this position requires a deep understanding of the technology combined with excellent communication and leadership skills. Roles &responsibilities and key requirements for this position are as below: Roles & Responsibilities - @ Home Office: Comply with all KBR home office safety and security requirements. Write plant operating philosophy manuals based upon engineering designs. Collate plant analytical manuals. Provide commissioning, operations, and maintenance related inputs during design engineering and PHAs. Develop Operator training material based upon engineering designs. Impart training to Plant Owner\'s Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance Teams in both classroom and host plant settings. Provide commissioning, operations, and maintenance advice to the KBR Engineering Team as needed. Traveling at least 30% of time across the globe to various sites Roles & Responsibilities - @ Job Site: Comply with all the Client site and KBR HSSE requirements. Complete tasks assigned by the Lead Commissioning Advisor. Participate in P&ID plant walk down activities independently or as part of a team and prepare punch lists. Participate in the internal inspection of vessels. Support, Monitor and record plant pre-commissioning activities. Support, Monitor and record catalyst and desiccant loading activities. Monitor and record catalyst reduction activities. Monitor plant operations and provide guidance to the plant owner\'s operations team as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve plant operational difficulties. Work in shifts as directed by the Lead Commissioning Advisor and support client\'s operations teams during startup of the units. Preparation of the Commissioning and Start-Up closeout report. Preparation of lessons learnt reports and provide feedback to the Engineering teams. Required Qualifications & Experience: Preferably a Graduate Chemical Engineer 15+ years of hands-on experience operating or providing engineering support for operating units with any of the Inorganic technologies mentioned above OR 15+ years of experience of pre-commissioning, commissioning & initial operation activities gained in the commissioning and start-up of Inorganic Chemical manufacturing units. Competent to work single handedly or in team with client engineers while providing advisory services at site. Work experience overseas will be an added advantage. Prior experience of writing plant operating manuals. Prior experience of preparing and presenting training materials to multi-disciplined groups. Proficient with use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point). Hands-on experience of Distributed Control Systems.
