Position overview:

LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s FTSE Russell business operates in a dynamic market environment where the demand for innovative benchmarks and new financial content solutions is high. The Commercial Policy team is charged with management of commercial policy and pricing. This role will work closely with leaders across the business including product management, finance, sales, and marketing.

The ideal candidate will have a background in product management or pricing, B2B information or software, ideally targeting the financial services industry. The candidate is a team-player with a record of delivering results in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production of new commercial policies and implementation across necessary systems
  • Oversee annual fee increase process
  • Manage the implementation of changes to existing commercial policies
  • Solve unique and complex pricing/ commercial issues that may not have prescribed solutions
  • Balance the need to simplify the current commercial framework with the need to support development of new pricing policies for new product launches or product extensions
  • Ensure pricing decisions are made effectively, proper governance is followed and that sound policies are produced
  • Assume increasing responsibilities on projects and team initiatives
Essential skills: * Analytic skill: ability to develop strong hypotheses around business problems to test through quantitative analysis; ability to synthesize findings into actionable business recommendations
  • Financial acumen: financial modelling skills and ability to join strategic plans with financial outcomes.
  • Communications: Skilled in communicating and engaging with executives and senior management and peers. Excellent verbal, written and on-screen communication with ability to articulate complex issues effectively.
  • Client focus and service mind-set: Understanding of client segments and ability to align with Sales and Service teams (expectation management, commercial awareness)
  • Execution: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively, handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, identify/ flag/resolve potential issues early on
  • Collaboration: Thrives in a complex environment. Ability to influence and work through others to get things done in a matrixed, multi-site organization; willingness to help colleagues; openness to take on new responsibilities
  • Self-motivated: Takes initiative and demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm
Desired experience and qualifications: * Bachelors\' degree in business, finance, economics or other quantitative field. Masters or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in strategy, management consulting, financial services or finance in impactful roles relevant to this position.
