Job Title : Category Trade Marketing ManagerLocation : MumbaiDepartment : Sales & Marketing / Trade MarketingJob Summary:The Category Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing category-specific trade marketing strategies to drive sales growth, increase market share, and enhance brand visibility at the point of sale. This role works closely with sales, brand marketing, and external partners to ensure effective planning and execution of trade promotions, in-store visibility initiatives, and retailer-specific campaigns.Key Responsibilities:Category Strategy & Planning:- Develop and implement trade marketing strategies aligned with overall brand and sales objectives for the assigned category.- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify category growth opportunities.Promotion & Campaign Management:- Plan and execute trade promotions (seasonal, product launches, etc.) with ROI tracking.- Customize promotional activities to suit channel-specific needs (Modern Trade, General Trade, E-commerce, etc.).Channel & Retail Execution:- Coordinate with sales teams and retail partners to drive in-store visibility and merchandising.- Ensure the right assortment, planograms, and shelf execution as per category strategy.Sales Enablement & Communication:- Develop and provide sales teams with toolkits, training materials, and category decks.- Act as a bridge between brand marketing and sales to translate brand strategies into trade activities.Performance Monitoring & Reporting:- Track and report KPIs for trade marketing initiatives, promotional ROI, and category growth.- Conduct post-promotion analysis and make recommendations for improvement.Budget Management:- Manage the trade marketing budget for the category efficiently and ensure spend optimization.Qualifications & Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.- 5-8 years of experience in trade/category marketing in FMCG, Retail, or Consumer Goods.- Strong analytical and commercial acumen.- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); exposure to Nielsen/IRI or other retail data tools is a plus.
