Role Responsibilities

Job Summary

Support in execution of the Business Management and Communications agenda for the Digital Foundation Technology organisation (550+ across locations) under Functions CIO.

This involves closely working with the DFT Extended Leadership team and collaborating with wider colleagues in DFT on a day-to-day basis.

Processes

  • Support ideation to develop a curriculum and implement communication strategies, to support the Digital Foundation Technology priorities and initiatives.
  • Create internal communication messages and curate team content for various internal communications and platforms, including internal weekly bulletins, internal newsletter, emails / announcements, Bridge etc to promote and update the different internal stakeholders.
  • Support the wider Functions communications agenda through contributions in the Monthly and Quarterly newsletters as well as TTO newsletter, with an aim to bring into focus and celebrate DFT achievements and initiatives.
  • Create a framework of clear and effective employee engagement, on a broad variety of topics and incorporating employee feedback from MyVoice survey, to create a sense of shared purpose that is relevant to all team members, who are based out of multiple locations and come from diverse backgrounds.
  • Drive Rewards and Recognition initiatives for DFT \xe2\x80\x93 Execute the cyclical reward activities such as SPOT Awards, Industry Awards, GEM Awards, Long Service Awards, Co-ordinate with the team SPOCs for nominations, collate and prepare the lists for approval by the Global Head, disbursement of awards / certificates, Plan and organize R&R events. etc.
  • Extensively collaborate on a daily basis, with multiple teams and internal stakeholders at various levels both within / outside of the DFT organisation, across locations, to deliver on outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on support on business management and administrative activities for GBS locations including Timesheet governance, Central follow-up / tracking on compliance to essentials (mandatory e-learning etc), Vendor management, Business Continuity Plan / Business Impact Analysis for GBS India, seat management as well as other adhoc requirements.
  • Drive cross-border DFT Brown Bag sessions to encourage learning and support knowledge sharing culture in the team.
  • Plan and organize team events (department gathering, team building, townhalls, skip meetings, etc).

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Global Head, Digital Foundation Technology and Management Team.
  • Functions Business Management and Communications Team.
Other Responsibilities
  • Provide back-up but hands-on support in secretarial and team administration duties in managing calendars, travel arrangements, travel and expense claims, monitoring RMS / eProcurement/ T&E requests from the teams.

  • 6 years of experience supporting business administration and communications, with exposure to working with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with all levels of staff across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Hands-on, open-minded and motivated by challenging work.
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Self starter and intuitive.
  • Articulate and creative.
