Location: Ratnaakar 9 Square, Satellite, Ahmedabad CTC: Up to - 6 LPA + Bonus (Gross) Experience: Minimum 7 years in FMCG / Retail Modern TradeAbout the RoleWe're seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager - Modern Trade to drive sales growth across leading retail chains and e-commerce platforms.You'll manage key accounts, develop strategic relationships with modern trade partners, and ensure seamless execution of trade activations and promotions.Key Responsibilities1- Drive sales through distributors to Modern Trade (MT) retail accounts such as D-Mart, Reliance Fresh, Star Bazaar, and online platforms.2 - Build and maintain strong relationships with purchase managers and store teams across retailers and e-commerce partners (Blinkit, BigBasket, Udaan, Swiggy Instamart, etc.).3 - Negotiate and generate purchase orders from local and national buying managers.4 - Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely order servicing and 100% fill rates.5 - Manage product listings, run monthly promotions, and execute trade activation plans.6 - Oversee third-party merchandising teams (promoters and supervisors) to ensure visibility and product off-takes.7 - Reconcile sales promotion budgets and invoices in coordination with Accounts and Finance.RequirementsMandatory: 1 - Experience in Modern Trade / FMCG sales (minimum 7 years).2 - Candidates from oil, pulses, or food categories preferred.3 - Prior experience working with or selling to e-commerce / quick commerce platforms (Blinkit, BigBasket, Reliance Retail, Udaan, Swiggy Instamart, etc.).4 - Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.5 - Excellent understanding of trade marketing, promotions, and stock forecasting.EducationGraduate / MBA in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management preferred.
