The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and developing strategic partnerships for the hotel. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners, and implementing sales strategies to maximize occupancy and profitability.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Revenue Generation
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, leisure, MICE, and long-stay segments.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve room, F&B, and event revenue targets.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential client segments.
Generate leads through networking, cold calling, industry events, and digital platforms.
2. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, OTAs, and event organizers.
Conduct regular sales visits, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business.
Work closely with key accounts to ensure service satisfaction and repeat business.
3. Sales & Marketing Coordination
Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to create promotional campaigns and packages.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to represent the hotel.
Prepare and deliver sales proposals, contracts, and presentations.
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track sales performance, revenue achievements, and market trends.
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and prepare weekly/monthly sales reports.
Develop forecasts and set measurable goals for business growth.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with Front Office, Reservations, F&B, and Operations teams to ensure client expectations are met.
Provide feedback on guest requirements and collaborate on customized packages for key clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
3-7 years of experience in hotel sales, business development, or hospitality management.
Strong understanding of hotel revenue management principles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office.
Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
Strong network within the corporate and travel industry is an advantage.
