Job Purpose:
To identify, acquire, and manage new business opportunities in General & Life Insurance broking. The role involves building strong client relationships, understanding their insurance needs, and offering customized insurance solutions to drive revenue growth for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the corporate and retail insurance segments (General Insurance, Health, Life, Motor, Marine, Property, etc.).
Generate leads through networking, cold calling, references, industry events, and digital channels.
Meet prospective clients, understand their risk/insurance requirements, and propose suitable insurance solutions in coordination with underwriting and operations teams.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat and referral business.
Manage the end-to-end sales process: proposal preparation, negotiation, closing, and post-sales servicing with support from internal teams.
Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual business development targets as per organizational goals.
Stay updated with market trends, competitor offerings, and IRDAI regulations to ensure compliance and effective sales strategy.
Coordinate with insurance companies for quotations, pricing negotiations, and placement of business.
Prepare MIS reports, sales forecasts, and maintain proper documentation of client interactions.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of
insurance products
(General & Life) and broking business model.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong client relationship management & networking abilities.
Self-motivated with a target-driven approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
Qualification & Experience:
Graduate / Post Graduate in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
IRDAI certification (preferred or to be completed post-joining).
2-6 years of relevant experience in
Insurance Broking / Insurance Sales / BFSI sector
.
Candidates with corporate client acquisition experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,158.67 - ₹45,000.00 per month
