Since more than 125 years this family-owned company in its 4th generation develops and manufactures premium products in its own factories in Steckborn / Switzerland and Lamphun / Thailand. Its growing omnichannel distribution network is key for the brand\'s success. In this fast-moving world, new approaches can be the game changer. Objective of function : BERNINA is looking for a Business Development Manager pan-India, who can identify new distribution channels, roll out new ideas, coach partners in eventing and marketing with the goal to increase sales and brand awareness for BERNINA and bernette.About the Role :- The role is to be the strategic partner under BERNINA\'s umbrella and to be a coach (B2B and B2C) to all distribution partners to closer inter-act with their customers to successfully grow their business and increase BERNINA\'s and bernette\'s visibility and brand values in India. - BERNINA is looking for a nationally well-connected person with experience in dealing with Western premium brand products and ideally an intercultural background. - The Business Development Manager is not an importer. Key Tasks : - Strategic and operational planning; prepare and implement the BERNINA/bernette dual brand strategy with new distribution and marketing projects online and offline.- Travel and explore opportunities: identify market potential in selected cities or regions.- Analyse market trends and discover new opportunities for business development and sales enhancement with existing and new distribution partners.- Work on mutually agreed targets and costs set by BERNINA International AG.- Ensure proper execution of sales and marketing initiatives from BERNINA International AG, adapted to local market conditions.- Review and adapt local After Sales Support concept.- Create marketing plans for new distribution partners in cooperation with the importer.- Create target driven sales plans for new distribution partners.- Do sales forecasts and budget in close cooperation with the importer.- Manage relationships with key stakeholders like local retailers, opinion leaders, show organisers and expand their interest in BERNINA and bernette products.- Build and increase national network to government, fashion schools, embassies etc.- Send monthly activity reports to BERNINA International AG.Responsibilities / authorities :\xc2\xa0- Responsible for proper Go2Market plans, assortment and pricing in close collaboration with BERNINA International and their Indian importer.- Responsible for achievement of budget and medium-term goals.Experience :- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of retail or wholesale experience of high-end Western consumer goods- Good business development background- Proven leadership and brand building ability- Omnichannel development experience- Proven ability to drive positive customer experiences and deliver measurable resultsSkills / personal qualifications :- Commercial awareness and strong business acumen- Ability and willingness to travel extensively pan-India and mid-term also outside of India- Endurance, assertiveness, empathy, proactive, independent, willing to cooperate, organizational skills, passion for the products- Intercultural skills in working for / with foreign customers and business partners\xc2\xa0- General understanding of fashion, design and technology is a plus.Education and Certifications : - Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, marketing or related fields- MBA preferred, but not mandatory (Retail / Sales and Marketing) Languages :- Business fluent in English- Several Indian languagesIT-Knowledge :- MS Office programs- E-Commerce principles Location: Work from Home (WFH) plus extensive travel all over India.
