Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership in Battery System Design and Development

? Lead the design and development of new battery systems with a focus on

high-performance and scalable technologies.

? Oversee the complete product lifecycle from concept to commercialization.

? Ensure alignment with business objectives and customer requirements during

product development.

2. Research and Innovation

? Drive innovation in battery technologies, exploring new materials, systems,

and methods to improve efficiency, energy storage, and sustainability.

? Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to identify areas of improvement

in battery systems.

? Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, research, and advancements

to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into new products.

3. Project Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration

? Manage multiple NPD projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and

scope.

? Collaborate with other departments, including manufacturing, testing, and

quality assurance, to ensure seamless product development and production

processes.

? Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring clear communication and

efficient execution of tasks.

4. Quality Control and Regulatory Compliance

? Ensure battery systems meet all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory

standards.

? Monitor testing processes, identifying issues, and implementing solutions to

maintain high-quality standards.

? Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure all products comply with

industry regulations and certification requirements.

5. Team Management and Development

? Lead, mentor, and manage a dynamic team of engineers, designers, and

technicians within the NPD department.

? Allocate tasks effectively based on team strengths and project requirements.

? Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging team

members to contribute new ideas and improvements.

? Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team

members, supporting their professional growth and development.

6. Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation

? Work closely with the HOD and senior management to define the strategic

direction for new product development.

? Plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure project goals are met

without compromising on quality or timelines.

? Identify and manage risks associated with new product development,

proposing strategies to mitigate them.

7. Budget and Cost Management

? Prepare and manage the NPD budget, ensuring efficient allocation of financial

resources.

? Monitor project costs and expenses, identifying areas for cost savings while

maintaining product quality and innovation.

Skills & Qualifications:

? Proven track record in R&D and battery systems development with at least 1 MWh

capacity.

? Strong knowledge of battery chemistry, thermal management, electrical systems, and

control mechanisms.

? Proficient in CAD software, simulation tools, and prototype testing methods.

? Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

? Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving collaborative initiatives.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
