About Us:

We are Kraftshala. We are an online higher education institution committed to playing the long game of building a transformative skilling experience for the masses. We call this 'Scaling with Soul'.

Scaling with Soul, to us, means we always prioritise student outcomes- specifically our Placement Rate (percentage of students placed)- over other metrics, such as number of enrolments or company valuation in the coming year.

This is, of course, easier said than done. There are painful choices to be made at every stage, from admissions to training to placements, that wouldn't have been needed were we willing to give up on either of high quality or scale.

But in the long run, we believe that our obsession over these student outcomes will earn Kraftshala the trust of Indian students, their families, recruiting companies and the broader ecosystem.

That's why we make each of our Placement Reports public, capturing how many students are placed in each batch, in what companies, at what salaries etc.

We don't need to. None of our competitors do (though we'd be happy to be proven wrong and have more educators join us!). Simply put, we have tasted the benefits of an education model grounded in high quality paired with the transparency of student outcomes and now cannot imagine doing it any other way.

We are not the largest in terms of enrollments. Not yet.

However, we are proud to be one of the largest, if not the largest already, in terms of actual, verifiable placements.

And in terms of Placement Rate, the metric that matters most to us, we are the absolute best in edtech. In the last 4 years, we have placed more than 2400+ students with a Placement Rate of 94% (and improving). This is our long game- to Scale with Soul. We invite you to join us for the play.

Funding:

Kraftshala is backed by number of eminent investors, including

Phanindra Sama and Sudhakar Pasupunuri, co-founders at Redbus and early investors in unicorns like Unacademy Amit Kumar Agarwal, Saurabh Garg and Akhil Gupta, co-founders at Nobroker.com (the world's largest NoBrokerage Property Site and India's first realty startup unicorn) Sujayathi Ali, Co-founder at ShopUp and Voonik Doreswamy Nandkishore (Former Fortune 100 CEO, Head of Asia, Oceania, Africa for Nestle S.A. and Professor, ISB) Pallav Jain and Sarfaraz Khimani (co-CEOs of Performics, India's largest SEO/ performance marketing agencies)

What do we value (the Kraftshala Kode):

Kraftshala is on a mission to become the largest career launchpad in the world.

Team Kraftshala is for the ambitious, the forever-learners, and most of all, for those who live to add value to others. In a world where education companies often lose sight of their core, we aim to Scale with Soul, to offer greater value to each stakeholder (including our team) everyday we get bigger.

Joining Kraftshala now means becoming part of a story still in its early chapters- one you'll help shape with your ideas, actions, and leadership. Here are things we care for:

We seek a

value-adding mindset

in prospective team mates. Folks who demonstrate a capacity to understand their users' needs and are willing to go the extra mile to deliver on that, fit right in. We value

problem solving

skills. We look at problems objectively, work backwards from the user, solve for root causes and optimise for their long-term good instead of our short-term gain. We don't let processes or hierarchies get in the way of adding value. We believe

speed

matters enormously in business. We value people who move with urgency, have a bias for action and are willing to take calculated risks in the face of uncertainty. We look for people with high

learning agility

, those truth seekers who pursue the best data, ideas, and solutions with rigour and open mindedness, and are constantly working to become better today than yesterday. We admire people with

ambition & courage

to take on large goals. We are seeking to build a team of self-starters who demonstrate high ownership. We aim for

consistency and reliability

and expect the same from others. Predictability just makes everyone's life a lot smoother. We believe people who demonstrate

candour with care

are the most effective: real, open and direct in communication, while still being highly empathetic. We have learnt that Scaling with Soul requires

frugality

. Resource constraints help sharpen focus and breed inventiveness. We are

practical optimists

. Our team strongly believes in a better future and takes joy and pride in the fact that we are playing our part to make that future a reality.

Role Description

This is a high-impact role at the heart of Kraftshala's flagship PGP Sales, Marketing & Business Leadership program, where you will shape the next generation of FMCG leaders. You'll bring your sales expertise into a national platform, work alongside top industry minds, and directly influence student careers and talent pipelines at some of India's most respected companies.

What you will be doing:

Training Execution & Design (~80% of your time):

Overall Program Design:

You will be designing and improving the FMCG Sales learning experience within the PGP Sales, Marketing & Business Leadership program to deliver outstanding careers for our students and strong talent pipelines for recruiters. This involves analysing student learning outcomes, recruiter feedback, and student feedback to create a training journey that is challenging yet fulfilling. The role goes beyond your core specialisation, as you will also contribute to business and sales curriculum more broadly and lead initiatives to expand into other similar verticals and sales channels as the program evolves.

Content Enhancement & Development:

You'll combine your FMCG sales experience, conversations with top FMCG sales leaders in India, and industry benchmarks to refine Kraftshala's training content. This means creating and improving FMCG-specific frameworks, case studies, projects and practical simulations. You will also experiment with tools, formats, and partnerships to boost program outcomes and keep the learning material relevant and high-impact.

Training:

You will also be taking regular sessions for small and large groups on a variety of topics that align with your interests and strengths. Additionally, you will help students build their profile in a manner that enables them to sell their stories effectively in interviews.

Coaching other experts:

As the FMCG training lead, you will lead and guide a network of part-time FMCG experts, ensuring they deliver high-quality sessions and assessments in line with Kraftshala's training philosophy. This will involve conducting audits, providing feedback, and enabling them to continuously improve their delivery so that students receive an ever-improving learning experience.

Overall Program Management & Growth (~20% of your time):

Student selection:

Improving the admissions process (as needed), conducting interviews, onboarding new interviewers, auditing existing interviewers, and taking a final call on all student in takes and scholarship decisions

Enhancing Kraftshala partnerships:

with potential training / project partners and recruiters by reaching out to relevant folks and discussing the scope of the partnership and way forward.

Monthly Outcomes:

Month 1:

Gain deep understanding of Kraftshala's PGP Sales, Marketing, and Business Leadership program, especially the FMCG sales section. Familiarize with current content, student profiles, and recruiter expectations. Begin co-delivering select FMCG modules and coaching a small set of students.

Month 2:

Lead FMCG module delivery independently. Audit existing FMCG curriculum for gaps and begin redesigning priority sections. Build relationships with at least 2 new FMCG experts for curriculum enhancement.

Month 3+:

Own the FMCG sales curriculum end-to-end, including design, delivery, and expert network engagement. Consistently maintain high student placement readiness and recruiter satisfaction while experimenting with new formats, tools, and partnerships to improve outcomes.

A question we'd like to address upfront is what the career trajectory looks like for someone in this role.

There are 2 broad possibilities of what you could be doing 5 years from now:

From the activities mentioned above, if you particularly enjoy creating great sales and business content and delivering impactful sessions, you could emerge as a leader who designs/ leads training programs for
Related sales verticals- FMCD/ Retail/ Pharma etc Top FMCG/ corporates If the business and strategy side of things excites you more, you can take up the ownership of a Kraftshala business vertical with P&L responsibilities.

These are starting thoughts, of course, and any decision on a role is always a function of what a person wants matched with what the organisation can offer. The great advantage of a company that's growing well (like Kraftshala) is that new opportunities open up frequently, and our preference would always be to try to fill up newly created roles with candidates from within the organisation.

Top Grading

Curiosity & Truth-Seeking Mindset:

An A-Player asks sharp, first-principles questions to understand FMCG business models, category nuances, and learner mindsets, validating assumptions with data and real-world examples. A B-Player accepts conventional wisdom without probing deeper and avoids investigating the root causes of challenges.

Content Creation & Delivery Excellence:

An A-Player crafts sessions that blend rigour with engagement, tailoring content to audiences and iterating based on feedback and results. A B-Player delivers static, one-size-fits-all training with minimal updates or customisation.

An A-Player builds trust across learners, internal teams, and recruiting companies, aligning with goals and influencing decisions through credibility and clear communication. A B-Player engages only when necessary and avoids managing resistance or tough conversations.

Learning Agility:

An A-Player embraces change, sees feedback as fuel, and takes on new challenges without waiting for perfect conditions. A B-Player seeks stability, resists stepping out of their comfort zone, and views feedback as criticism.

Execution & Ownership:

Problem Solving:

An A-Player diagnoses issues from multiple angles, using data and industry insights to design practical, scalable solutions for training and business impact. A B-Player jumps to surface fixes without fully understanding the problem, often creating short-term or ineffective solutions.
