We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager / Assistant Manager - Anesthesia Coding to lead our anesthesia coding team. The ideal candidate will possess strong domain knowledge, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to ensure delivery excellence, compliance, and continuous process improvement within the anesthesia coding vertical.


Certification: CPC / COC / CCS (AAPC or AHIMA) - mandatory. Experience: Minimum 9 years in medical coding, with at least 3 years in Anesthesia coding and 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong understanding of ASA guidelines, time-based units, concurrency, and modifier usage. Excellent knowledge of payer rules and anesthesia billing workflows. Proficient in EHR and coding platforms (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.). Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to mentor, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively. #

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Anesthesia Coding team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to client SLAs. Monitor and drive quality and productivity performance metrics for the team. Provide domain guidance and technical support to coders and auditors on ASA, CPT, ICD-10-CM, and modifier usage. Conduct regular audits and feedback sessions to maintain high-quality output and identify training needs. Collaborate with Training and Quality teams to develop upskilling and refresher programs for coders. Prepare and analyze weekly/monthly performance reports and share insights with leadership. Act as the primary point of contact for client communication, escalation management, and process governance. Ensure 100% compliance with HIPAA and company data security protocols. Support transition, onboarding, and expansion of new anesthesia projects. Location:
