Purpose
The objective of the role:To provide technical support to sales, business development, Segment sales team in application understanding & development. The role involves close co-ordination with Integrated Solution Provider (ISP) in building skill of their team. All the L1 support related activities to be handled for the assigned territory.
Areas of ResponsibilityTraining to ISP: Training existing and new ISPs on product understanding, product handling and key applications.
Development of STC trainers: Conduct Train the trainer program for STC. Help them prepare training modules.
Development of local service centers: Co-ordinate for appointment, training of service centers & specific support needs of service centers.
Conduct application meet.
Application support:
o Prepare technical guidelines for fan, pump, compressor, crane CT, LT, Hoist; conveyor, etc
o Prepare guidelines on use of various communication protocols in Drives & PLC.
o New application development in close working with Sales / ISP.Product presentations and demonstration at End users, OEMs & consultants.
Support to sales & service: Help in project specification compliance.
Qualifications:
Desired Knowledge and ExperiencesGraduate Engineer with 8 - 12 years of experience in site execution of automation projects involving VFD, PLC, HMI & SCADA and hands-on experience on programming software of PLC & SCADA.
Should have worked as individual and also as a part of cross Function Team
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and document processes.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
Critical Experiences
Industry and Function: Field experience in project execution of VFD, PLC, HMI & SCADA in segments like WWW, MMM, Chemical, F&B, Textile. Worked as Technical support / Service support / Project Engineer
Business Experience: Responsible for increasing sales through Value selling by providing technical support to sales Developing new markets through applications, Channel development and new segments
Relationships: National Sales, and Targeted teams Customers, OEM Panel Builders and SI
Critical Knowledge
Market and Environment: Awareness of industrial automation market trends (Country) especially related to VFD, PLC & HMI. Domain Knowledge: of major verticals, F&B, MMM, WWW, Petrochemicals and application within the segments. Understanding customer requirement Understanding of competiton
