Summary / Role Purpose

As Manager Application Engineering, you will lead an application engineering team to create customer awareness, sales, and support readiness for their target product family. This role will focus on creating and executing on a sales strategy to support the growth goals for their Ansys Business Unit. This includes the delivery of product messaging, pre-sales content, post-sales support and product training and documentation.

A unique role that allows candidate to work on entire EDA product life-cycle, from development to deployment. This involves working with Software developers, Product Engineers, and Semiconductor Customers.

Key focus areas will include all areas related to IP/SoC/3DIC Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, Reliability aspects like EM/ESD/Thermal, Advanced timing/jitter, Packaging - the top challenges for any chip design on advanced nodes like 5/3/2 nm..

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads a team of application engineers responsible for delivering pre- and post-sales support across Ansys Semicondcutor products
• Works on Ansys-Seascape platform - Semiconductor Industry\'s First and Only True Big-Data design Platform!
• Requires the skills and experience to interact and collaborate with multi-site teams.
• Owns the development of account plans and technical campaign kits aligned with business growth objectives and key initiatives
• Works with R&D and Customers to understand design challenges of cutting-edge SoCs & 3DICs on 5/3/2 nm and execute application support
• Ensures quality and timely execution and all technical campaigns and customer support tickets in alignment with business growth objectives
• Builds and develops high-achieving application engineering teams and ensures continuous employee development. Creates a positive team culture that is aligned with the Ansys culture and provides and environment supporting diversity and inclusion
• Recruits, develops, and retains high performing talent
• Mentor local or remote application engineers by using tool knowledge and domain expertise

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• M.E./MTech (Electronics or similar) or B.E/BTech. (Electronics or similar) with 5+ years of experience in the EDA or VLSI industry
• Strong problem-solving and programming skills
• Team player with capability/drive to work in a multi geo cross-functional environment
• You take ownership of projects assigned and drive it with little supervision and deliver quality work first time
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills with great attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated consistent record of independent time and project management, productivity, meeting objectives and deadlines with no supervision
• Demonstrated consistent ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse staff in multiple regions and multiple departments
• Passion to learn and deploy new technologies
• 5+ years of prior experience in either of a) Power-Integrity/Signal-Integrity/Reliability Closure b) Custom circuit design and simulation
