About Client: Mid size Indian Pharma company having 300Cr Turnover, having global presence and 2 USFDA approved API Manufacturing sites

Role: Manager / Senior Manager - Sales & Marketing / Business Development (Europe Region)
Position Summary
Responsible for driving API business growth in European markets through new customer acquisition, relationship management, product positioning, and regulatory-commercial coordination. Focus on securing new projects, increasing revenue, and expanding presence with innovators, generics, and distributors in Europe.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales and BD strategies for Europe markets for API portfolio
  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new customers (innovators, generic companies, distributors)
  • Manage end-to-end BD cycle: lead generation to commercial closure
  • Track opportunities, inquiries, and proposals; ensure timely follow-ups
  • Drive customer RFQs, price negotiations, and contract finalization
  • Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams - RA, QA, Supply Chain, Production & Finance
  • Monitor tender updates, regulatory status, and compliance requirements for EU markets
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure achievement of annual sales targets and margin objectives
  • Represent the company in international conferences, exhibitions, and customer visits as needed
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Science/Pharmacy; MBA preferred
  • 8-12 years of experience in API sales/BD focused on Europe market
  • Strong understanding of EU regulatory landscape (CEP, DMF, GMP compliance)
  • Experience handling key European customers and distributors
  • Proven track record in API commercial negotiations and business closures
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM and MS Office
Preferred Competencies
  • Existing customer network in Europe
  • Ability to work independently and drive results
  • Willingness for international travel
