We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager - Accounts to take full ownership of the accounting function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accounting accuracy, ensuring statutory compliance, implementing robust internal controls, and leading a team of accountants to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Management

oLead, mentor, and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely execution of all accounting functions.

oAllocate responsibilities effectively, review deliverables, and build team capability through ongoing training and feedback.

oDrive accountability, accuracy, and discipline across the accounting vertical.

oEnsure alignment of accounting practices with organizational goals and compliance standards.

2. Accounting Operations

oOversee all day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, invoice postings, receipts, payments, and expense accounting.

oSupervise the maintenance of ledgers, sub-ledgers, and balance sheet reconciliations.

oEnsure timely month-end and year-end closures with accuracy and completeness.

oReview and approve vendor bills, payment runs, and reconciliations for correctness.

3. Statutory Compliance & Audit

oEnsure strict compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements under Indian laws.

oManage coordination with statutory and internal auditors for audit schedules, documentation, and timely closure of audit queries.

oOversee preparation and filing of statutory returns and ensure adherence to all accounting and regulatory deadlines.

oMaintain organized documentation and audit trails for all financial records.

4. Internal Controls & Reporting

oDevelop and enforce internal control systems to prevent errors and ensure integrity of financial information.

oPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS and accounting reports for management.

oSupport management with insights for cost analysis, reconciliations, and process efficiency improvements.

oEnsure accounting processes are streamlined, automated where possible, and aligned with best practices.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

oCollaborate with operations, procurement, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of accounting workflows.

oAct as a key point of contact for vendor and client-related accounting queries.

oPartner with leadership to improve systems, processes, and documentation efficiency.

Requirements

oMinimum 10 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industries.

oProven experience managing a team of accountants and leading end-to-end accounting operations.

oIn-depth expertise in Tally Prime, MS Excel (advanced functions, reconciliation models, MIS), and accounting documentation.

oStrong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.

oExceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and process-driven approach.

oEffective communication, leadership, and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

oBachelor's degree in commerce/accounting/business administration (mandatory).

oPrior experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain accounting will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.78 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
