The Manager - Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, including
finalization of accounts, GST compliance, statutory reporting, and audits
. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, adherence to regulatory requirements, and supports management in strategic decision-making. The incumbent will manage the accounting team and coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Finalization
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy in books of accounts.
Lead the
finalization of accounts, balance sheet, profit & loss statement
, and other statutory financial reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable
filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.)
.
Review GST input credit reconciliations (GSTR-2B vs books).
Handle GST-related queries, audits, notices, and assessments.
Ensure compliance with
TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other applicable laws
.
Audit & Coordination
Liaise with
statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants
.
Support in internal audits, statutory audits, and tax audits.
Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely closure of audit requirements.
Team & Process Management
Supervise and mentor the accounts team, reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance.
Implement and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
Streamline processes to improve efficiency in financial operations.
Management Reporting
Provide periodic MIS reports, variance analysis, and financial dashboards to management.
Support CFO/Head Finance in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Highlight risks, cash flow challenges, and compliance concerns.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
CA/ICWA (preferred but not mandatory for strong industry experience)
Experience:
7-10 years of corporate accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of
finalization of accounts, GST compliance, TDS, and statutory requirements
.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in Tally, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel, financial analysis, and reporting.
Ability to manage deadlines and handle multi-tasking effectively.
Excellent team management and leadership skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
