1. Core Transactional Accounting
Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, ensure proper coding and approvals, reconcile vendor statements, and manage timely payment runs.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and issue sales invoices, track client payments, follow up on outstanding receivables, and ensure prompt collections.
General Ledger (GL): Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
Bank & Account Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of bank statements, credit card statements, and various subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
2. Financial Reporting and Compliance
Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure deadlines are met.
Support the preparation of preliminary financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement schedules.
Assist with statutory compliance and tax filings (e.g., GST/VAT, TDS, Payroll Tax), ensuring all legal requirements are met on time.
Gather and prepare documentation required for internal and external audits.
3. Budgeting and Analysis Support
Help maintain and track fixed assets and their depreciation schedules.
Assist in monitoring departmental spending and tracking actual expenses against the approved budget.
Provide financial data and analysis support to the Finance Manager for budgeting and forecasting activities.
