Our Finance team is a passionate, high-performing group committed to supporting PowerSchool operations through accurate and timely financial transaction management. The team provides critical business guidance on a broad range of accounting, reporting, and analytical projects, ensuring the integrity of financial data. Responsibilities:

Our Accounting team manages business transactions on behalf of the organization, reporting on company performance, issuing financial statements, and maintaining financial records.
Your day-to-day job will consist of:
Key responsibilities
Audit & Compliance
Internal audit
Coordinate and drive internal audit programs, prepare schedules and supporting documentation, respond to findings, and implement remedial actions with stakeholders.
Ensure internal controls are documented and operating effectively.
Statutory audit
Act as primary liaison for external statutory auditors; prepare audit packs, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Ensure timely completion of statutory audit deliverables and manage audit queries to closure.
Taxation
Tax assessments
Coordinate with tax advisors and in-house teams on assessments, notices, and tax provisioning; prepare responses and track outcomes.
Maintain schedules for corporate tax, GST (or local equivalents), and other statutory tax matters.
Systems & Process ownership
WorkTango
Oversee WorkTango-related accounting workflows (reconciliations, accruals, employee programme accounting) and ensure correct month-end treatment.
Serve as escalation point for functional issues and co-ordinate with HR/People Ops.
Software recharge
Manage allocation and recharge of software and licensing costs to business units; maintain consistent policy and clear monthly allocations.
Implement controls for vendor invoice treatment and recharge documentation.
Revenue & commissions
Domestic sales
Ensure accurate accounting of domestic sales (recognition, reconciliations, cut-off checks) and monthly reporting.
Coordinate with Sales/Operations to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely invoicing.
Sales commission
Calculate, validate and process sales commission accruals and payments; maintain commission schedules and approvals.
Work with Sales Ops and HR to ensure commission rules are applied correctly.
Accounting & month-end close
Amortisation
Maintain intangible asset registers, calculate monthly amortisation, and ensure correct GL postings.
Reconcile amortisation schedules to the general ledger.
General ledger & reconciliations
Oversee GL maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure timely and accurate month-end close.
Drive continuous improvement in close timelines and control strength
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / qualified accountant preferred.
8-10 years of accounting experience with 2+ years in a managerial/senior accountant role
Prior exposure to statutory audits, tax assessments and cross-functional KT transitions
KPIs / Success measures
Timely & clean month-end close (target: X days from month end -- specify).
Zero unresolved statutory audit findings older than 30 days after close.
Timely resolution of tax notices and less than X% variance between tax provision and final assessment.
On-time and accurate processing of sales commission and software recharges.
Completion of KT and documentation
Reduction in post-close adjustments and improved reconciliation accuracy.
Tools & systems
ERP (specify -- Oracle/NetSuite/SAP etc.), Excel, WorkTango (or HRIS), tax portals, audit request tracker EEO Commitment:
