Responsibilities

Build high performing teams by putting the right people in the right job at the right time In this role you will help to bring out the best ideas from the best engineers by empowering them and leading by example Create shared vision and build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships is a key for success in the role Adept at articulating the product vision and drive the future roadmap with strong business acumen Partner with other groups within Intuit for cross-functional design, solution integration and on-boarding of mobile/SaaS/PaaS/web/desktop offerings Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms Actively stay abreast of mobile/SaaS/PaaS trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning Include AI as a proficiency to increase velocity and carve out engineering bandwidth for high priority scope Deliver high quality customer-driven software offerings products to market that simplify and solve for current customer needs while building for the future. Should possess strong technical skills, have a career history of strong hands-on software engineering and development experience, and the tactical and visionary leadership skills to motivate, guide, and earn the respect from a highly talented engineering team. Responsible for initiating and driving the adoption of technology, product and process improvements throughout the software delivery life cycle. Provide technical leadership, career development, and management of performance, objectives, and priorities of all reporting staff - Build a high performing, results-oriented organization. Drive and own the functional and non-functional requirements road map for your organization. Develop product expertise and advocate on behalf of the customer. Lead and grow a high performing engineering team to deliver data capabilities at scale with engineering and operational excellence built in. Employ strong business and technical acumen to guide the team (customer obsession, strategic thinking, asking the right questions, sweating the details).

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered awesome products Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams Strong OOD and SOA principles, with ability to implement them in a language of choice (Java/J2EE) Strong experience leading design and implementation of robust and highly scalable web services Skilled in software development lifecycle processes. Experience with SCRUM, Agile and iterative approaches a plus Experience with frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, JSF a plus Experience with MySQL and ActiveMQ a plus Prior working experience in utility computing and/or cloud computing domain highly desired Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders Passion for changing monolith code and driving our services journey Experience running large systems in production environment Ability to work on customer facing/agent facing systems BS in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent work-related experience
