Job Summary In the Digital Self Service organization, you will be part of an iterative delivery team, building customer-facing web sites to empower our customers to manage their account, pay their bills, activate service, troubleshoot service, and more for Xfinity Mobile, a fast-growing business for Comcast. You\'ll be aligned with one of our agile product development teams, working together with dev and QA engineers, product managers, scrum masters, solution designers, architects, operations, and production support teams. Core Responsibilities Oversee the planning and designing of software and web applications, including new programs, enhancements, and modifications. Provide guidance to your software engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements. Serve as primary point of contact and liaison between software engineering and other teams. Takes initiative to lead development of new software products and applications. Establishes processes and communication loops for smooth software delivery and rollout. Manage deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets. Implement performance metrics and prepare periodic reports. Monitors and track project progress and reports findings to leadership team. Ensures engineers keep current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Develop proposals, hardware/software changes and other capital expenditure projects. Manage professional and non-exempt employees, conducting work performance reviews and ensures work performance adheres to Company standards. Mentor, train and develop staff. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 7+ years of software development experience building services and applications. Excellent communication skills, understand the software development lifecycle, and work well within a team. You possess a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for code quality and production stability. You are a strong, hands-on technical leader, an independent, critical, and analytic thinker, who has excellent communication (verbal/written) skills and can rapidly adapt to changing business and customer demands. You have strong hands-on technical skills and can contribute to coding and architecture. You are experienced with development/delivery of large enterprise grade web applications using UI technologies (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS, Angular, React, Sitecore, etc.), microservices (e.g. .Net/Java/Python, etc.), caching, etc. You have experience with source code control, CI/CD, DevOps, serverless technologies, event-driven architectures, Cloud (developing applications to run cloud-agnostically with Azure and/or AWS are a plus.)
