We are inviting applications for the role of Marketing Finance Analyst - Record to Report
We are seeking a Marketing Finance Analyst to support the finance and marketing teams. The role involves financial planning, analysis, and reporting of marketing spends, promotional campaigns, and vendor funding programs. The ideal candidate will partner closely with the client's marketing and FP&A teams to ensure accurate financial management, budgeting, and ROI analysis of marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
Support the monthly and quarterly marketing expense forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Consolidate and review actual marketing spend vs. plan; investigate variances and provide insights to management.
Assist in preparation of presentations for leadership reviews and business performance updates.
2. Marketing Spend Management
Track and validate marketing and advertising expenses, including media, digital, print, and in-store promotions.
Partner with marketing budget owners to ensure proper accruals, expense coding, and cost center alignment.
Manage end-to-end accounting of trade promotions, co-op advertising funds, and vendor reimbursements.
3. Vendor Funding & Accruals
Work with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure timely billing and collection of vendor funding.
Validate vendor agreements and ensure accurate recognition of income based on contract terms.
Maintain detailed reconciliations of marketing accruals, prepaids, and vendor-related balances.
4. Reporting & Compliance
Prepare detailed monthly reporting packs and dashboards for marketing finance performance.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX requirements.
Support internal/external audits related to marketing and promotional expenses.
5. Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline expense tracking.
Partner with global process owners to implement best practices in marketing finance operations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
4-7 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or marketing finance roles (preferably in retail or consumer goods industry).
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with onshore client teams.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to interpret large data sets.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with US retail clients or in a shared services
Understanding of marketing ROI, campaign analytics, and vendor funding models.
Exposure to US GAAP and month-end closing processes.
Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and support multiple stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • IT skills: ERP (SAP/Ariba), MS Office
  • Relevant Experience in reputed Captive/Outsourcing RTR Ops
