Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Invoice to Cash - Dispute & Deductions

The Invoice to Cash Dispute & Deductions Specialist will support the resolution of customer disputes and deductions for a leading US-based semiconductor manufacturing company, primarily serving large distributors. The role involves identifying the root causes of deductions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them, and ensuring accurate financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze customer deductions (e.g., pricing, shortages, returns, freight, promotional claims) submitted via remittances or portals.*
Research and validate the legitimacy of deductions by referencing contracts, invoices, proof of delivery, purchase orders, and internal approvals.*
Classify and code deductions accurately (valid, invalid, partially valid) per client policies.*
Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Pricing, and Trade Compliance) to resolve open disputes.*
Communicate with customers/distributors (via email or phone) to clarify discrepancies or request supporting documents.*
Initiate collection efforts for invalid deductions and escalate issues per established procedures.*
Document and track dispute resolution activities in Oracle or claims management tools.*
Prepare reports on deductions trends, root cause analysis, and aging of open items.*
Support audits and compliance reviews by maintaining detailed records and documentation.*
Ensure SLA adherence, confidentiality, and compliance with both the service provider and client's standards.*
Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.*
Excellent experience in collections, preferably in a B2B environment.*
Experience supporting US clients or working in an international delivery service model.*
Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).*
Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite), and collection tools (e.g., High Radius).*
Good understanding of Invoice to Cash processes, credit control, and DSO metrics.*
Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.*
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.*
Strong Communication Skills (verbal and written)*
Knowledge of Oracle*



Preferred qualifications

Familiarity with the semiconductor or electronics industry is a plus.*
Familiarity with US accounting standards and business culture.*
Prior experience working for a BPO/Service Provider serving a US-based manufacturing client.*
Ability to work in US time zones or overlap hours as needed.*
High attention to detail and analytical thinking.*
Communicate regularly with management advising any critical issues or opportunities and participate in client/customer conference calls as scheduled.*
