Inviting applications for the role Management Tranee Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of employee payrolls across assigned countries or business units. This role involves end-to-end ownership of payroll inputs, validations, reconciliations, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure a seamless pay experience for employees.
Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Compliance
Process payroll on a monthly /weekly/ bi-weekly basis, ensuring 100% accuracy and adherence to statutory and organizational timelines.
Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, promotions, variable pay, deductions, and benefits.
Conduct payroll reconciliation and variance analysis prior to final submission.
Ensure compliance with country specific labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory filings.
GPA: Payroll Certification preferred (APA: CPP/FPA, HMRC (UK), Certificate !V (Australia) Global Payroll Certification)
Maintain accurate and auditable payroll records and support internal / external audits.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Liaise with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors for smooth payroll execution and payroll reconciliation.
Address employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Coordinate with finance for funding, bank file submission, and GL postings.
Process & Controls
Implement payroll controls, checklists, and validations to minimize errors.
Drive continuous improvement in payroll processes through automation and standardization.
Support implementation of payroll systems (Workday, SAP, ADP, etc.) and integration with HRIS.
Reporting & Analytics
Prepare monthly payroll reports, dashboards, and analytics (headcount, cost trends, accuracy, KPIs).
Provide data support for audits, management reviews, and compliance submissions.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in commerce, HR, Finance, or a related field.
3-7 years of experience in payroll processing (multi-country or large employee base preferred).
Hands-on experience with payroll systems (e.g., SAP, ADP, Workday (Preferred), Oracle, etc.).
Strong understanding of statutory compliance, taxation, and labor law requirements.
Excellent MS Excel skills (pivot, lookup, reconciliations).
Preferred / Nice to Have
Certification in Payroll Management or HR Operations
Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean / Six Sigma)
Exposure to shared services or global payroll environments
