The MIS Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering accurate, timely, and actionable management information reports and dashboards across the organization. This role serves as the central liaison between IT, Finance, Sales, and Operations, ensuring data integrity and providing strategic insights necessary for monitoring performance, identifying trends, and supporting executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Management and Integrity
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data flowing between core business systems (Tally/ERP, WMS, CRM, Sales Portals).
Develop and implement data governance policies and validation checks to maintain high data quality across sales, inventory, procurement, and production records.
Manage the configuration and security of the central database used for MIS reporting.
2. Strategic Reporting and Analysis
Design, develop, and publish daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and dashboards (e.g., Sales Performance, Inventory Health, Production Efficiency, Cost of Goods Sold Analysis).
Create custom reports for senior management on an ad-hoc basis, translating complex data sets into clear, executive summaries with actionable recommendations.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and alert management to significant deviations or emerging trends.
3. System Administration and Support
Serve as the technical expert for Tally/ERP system reporting functions, ensuring all financial and operational data is properly recorded and extracted.
Manage user access, troubleshoot reporting issues, and ensure system integrations run smoothly, particularly for data exports and imports.
Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies or BI (Business Intelligence) tools to enhance reporting capabilities.
4. Process Automation and Optimization
Identify opportunities to automate manual data collection and reporting processes, reducing turnaround time and minimizing human error.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data collection and reporting across all departments.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration (with a focus on MIS/Data), or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in an MIS, Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence role, with strong preference for experience in the
FMCG or Manufacturing sectors
.
Skills:
Expert proficiency in
Advanced Microsoft Excel (VBA, Power Query)
and
SQL
for database querying and manipulation.
Mandatory strong working knowledge and experience with
Tally ERP reporting
and data structure.
Proficiency in creating data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
